Welcome to the londonmetescem website, conceived jointly as a means of permitting prospective students to find out information about the programmes run between the two institutions. It provides insight into the institutional relationship and the objectives and their shared values.

Bob MorganThe relationship with the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce et de Management (ESCEM school of business and management) in France is one of the most significant international partnerships conducted by London Metropolitan Business School. The creation of the dual award structure, initially in Marketing then in Finance and latterly International Business is evidence of our aim to provide a high quality, relevant, international, educational experience for students from across the world. The relationship goes beyond the design and delivery of dual awards. Programmes are supported by research activities in both schools with academic staff regularly contributing to the production of research papers, delivery of lectures and seminars and supervision of postgraduate students in both countries. Teaching quality enhancement is also assured by the multiple academic exchanges between staff across both institutions. I am delighted by the success of the relationship measured not only by the numbers of students who apply to join us but by their determination to succeed and the careers they have launched.’

Bob Morgan, Dean, London Metropolitan Business School.

Tamym Abdessemed‘I am pleased to say that our partnership with London Metropolitan Business School  goes from strength to strength. Joint teaching,  research and programme development are typical measures of shared activity and our flagship International Marketing Communications Programme (IMCo) follows in the finest tradition of internationalizing the postgraduate educational experience by attracting students from all around the world (24 different nationalities in 2008/09). To understand the success of our joint efforts you need to look at the sense of shared  values and direction. Together and independently, both institutions are committed to achieving and sustaining international recognition in all three areas of teaching, research and programme management. ESCEM is proud of its EQUIS and AACSB accreditations just as LMBS is proud of its AACSB membership and HEFCE teaching and quality ranking.  Both institutions are committed to the exchange of good practice in teaching and research initiatives and both institutions are committed to research in sustainable management practices.

It is this sense of shared values and aims which underpins the success of our activities.  I hope that  you will discover this for yourself by choosing the right programme and joining us.’

François Duvergé, Executive Chairman.
