Economic and Political Environment of International Business:
This module focuses on the major economic forces and developments in the international economic environment acting upon businesses, and considers the main political pressures operating in the international business environment.
International Business Strategy:
The module focuses on the economic rationale for the strategic decision making processes of multinational, global and trans-national companies.
Cross Cultural Management:
This module approaches management and organisationalbehaviour from a cross-cultural perspective and the significance of cultural differences for management practices across increasingly diverse national and international operations.

The ESCEM MA course is designed to follow on from the courses developed and delivered in London and caters for students who are interested in studying international business at Masters level.
Branding Strategy in International Business
The purpose of this course is to understand concepts underlying consumer behaviour, with particular emphasis on psychological, economic, sociological, and cultural concepts, and to apply that understanding to develop a strategy for marketing in the European market.
International Corporate Strategy and Regulation
This module introduces students to the techniques of competitive analysis that are essential for a firm to understand its industrial environment, its competitors and the trends in its industry and opportunities in related and unrelated industries and also focuses on the legal and regulatory aspects of international business.
Managing Strategic Information and Resource Systems
This module focuses on the use of information and communication technologies and the function of operations management in international firms and the role of decision support systems in solving e-business operations to manage non-human and non-financial resources.
Business Risk Management and the International Economy
This module focuses on the financial aspects of managing risk and the economic aspects of managing risk in international trade.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship in SMEs
This module focuses on issues of innovation and entrepreneurship with a particular focus on SMEs and considers the theory and development of entrepreneurship.
Strategy, Data Analysis and Interpretation
Management and analysis of data is essential to the process of strategic planning and institutional decision-making. This module offers a comprehensive variety of data management and analysis solutions that support managers in their activities through analysis, representation and communication and develops skills in accessing and using quality data.
Marketing and Export Strategies of SMEs
SMEs constitute the vast majority of international business activity in terms of the number of firms. This module looks at the process of establishing, developing and internationalising and focuses on export strategies, foreign direct investment and alliances and networks among SMEs.

The Tuition is 8300 € /7300 £ for the EU students and 12500€ / 11000 £ for the International students, for the academic year 2010/2011
Assessment
Each module consists of a mixture of scheduled classes, guided learning and self-directed learning. Teaching and learning is undertaken through lectures, seminars, discussions, group activities, workshops, projects, tutorials and self-managed study. A variety of assessment is utilized including essays, reports presentations, case studies and exams.
The program includes a work placement and a dissertation.
Dissertation
The dissertation is a significant module that provides an opportunity for the student to undertake a substantial piece of research in the field of derivatives valuations or applications. The student is expected to demonstrate a synthesis of the knowledge and skills developed throughout the course. This is the largest piece of assessed work undertaken on the course and is seen as the clearest expression of your ability to study at Masters level.
Structure and Schedule
This innovative programme course is offered as a collaborative venture with ESCEM School of Business and Management in Poitiers, France. It involves studying in both the UK and in France, as well as, an internship anywhere in the world. This course enables you to acquire an advanced understanding of recent developments, concepts and techniques in international business management and strategy within an international context.
The four-month internship offers a unique opportunity to reinforce your study with valuable professional experience. Successful completion of the course will lead to the award of two Masters Degrees - a Master of Arts in International Business Strategy from London Metropolitan University and a Master of Arts in International Business Management from ESCEM. This unusual dual award gives you an increased chance of employment and a competitive edge in international business. The course is taught in English in both France and the UK, so it is not necessary to be a French speaker to undertake the program.
